Case Description
I am a recovered meth addict. I used meth for a few years in the late 1990's and early 2000's. I am looking for a referral for a complete dental restoration. There are not only health concerns, but also emotional. My self-esteem suffers both at work and with my personal life. I am a quiet person but only because I am self-conscious of my teeth.
I have read estimates of 45-100K. I am willing to make the investment, but I my biggest concerns are length of down time, lengthy iterative process, amount of pain, and perceptions.
What kind of dentist would I need to see to? Are there "Meth" sensitive dentists in the Chicago area? What are my options for fastest recovery time? Are there any steps I can take to stop decay from happening? Are there fast options? Are there options for surgery with anesthesia?

Congratulations on you''''''''re choice to improve your teeth because it will improve your life, self - esteem, nutrition and function. The answers to your issues are not just a simple do this and do that and you are done. There are probably several options that can be diagnosed and evaluated that take into consideration the state of your mouth currently and what you want it to be. Proper diagnosis through examination and X-rays are required. I have had experience with other meth patients. The key to a successful treatment is not to get overwelmed by the treatment time and procedures.
