Case Description
I have a standard bridge in the selected area which have been damaged due root canals needed on the supporting teeth. Last year I had an abscess in that area because of the bad bridge made some time ago (they actually didn't devitalize properly the teeth...). The root canals have been redone to take care of the infections by a specialist endodontist and now I need to replace the prosthesis, but I would go for an implant with crowns rather than another bridge. I have also gum retraction problems in the same area, so the implant is not that easy and it will require a bone graft, as known after several consultations with periodontists. I am therefore looking for a real specialist in implants with bone grafting. My mouth has several issues due to problems through my childhood therefore there is a lot of things going on and I need a real specialist more than just cosmetic dentistry.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hello,I agree that implant would be the best option for single or mutiple missing teeth. I would recommend choosing a periodontist who''''s experienced in implant dentistry. We work with Dr. Walsh in Berwyn and have received great results. If cost is a issue, the prosthodontic clinic at UIC is a good place to seek implant care. The residents there place and restore implants. Good luck with the search.Zhaomin Huang, DMD MSwww.alohadental.com

Dear patient,Often a dentist who is trained in all aspects of dental care can solve these situations. My skills include but are not limited to; bone grafts, implants, gum grafts (i.e. like a periodontist) in addition I am able to offer all restorative i.e. root canals, cast posts, crns, and high end esthetic dentistry. 20+ years of surgical experience, general and esthetic dental care. You have an issue that we see every day in our dental practice. The best way for you to understand what we do you should look at our web site to evaluate yourself ( www.uadchicago.com ). There are links to videos of the myriad of implant procedures bone graft etc. that we preform. In fact we teach several courses a year at our facility on both dental implants and bone grafting to other dentists. As a group practice we have the ability to treat your needs under one roof. We would be happy to consult with you and evaluate just how much bone is lost with our CT scan imaging that will give a 3-D look at this tooth site to better identify the problem and technique required to treat this situation.
