I really recommend Dr. Deaver...like everyone, I have had bad dentist experiences. Whether it be an over the top lecture on "stepping up my flossing" or a hygienist that carelessly poked my gums...BUT THESE GUYS ARE GREAT. they are friendly, laid back, and did a great job cleaning my teeth!!!

Dr. Deaver is the best dentist ever! I have been a patient of his for 10 years. I hadn't been to the dentist in 15 years prior to that and was soooo afraid due to a very bad experience. Dr. Deaver and his staff were so nice, caring, and understanding that they put me at ease. I refuse to go anywhere else. Hands down, Dr. Deaver is the best, and only recommends treatements that you really need, instead of trying to pad his own wallet. I have referred several of my friends, and co-workers and they all love him just as much as I do. An excellent Dentist and one of the the nicest people I know. He also is very careful about his staff and ensures that anyone on his staff is just as caring and kind as he is. Please don't hesitate - go to Dr. Deaver!

I highly recommend Dr. Deaver. I had always been afraid of dentists until a friend recommended Dr. Deaver. He is kind and respectful. He is also really interesting and has a great sense of humor! He explains everything before he does it, tries very hard to cause no pain (almost all procedures with him are pain-free) and prepares you for exactly what is going to happen. He always tries the lowest-cost solution first, and all of my procedures have been successful. He has a wonderful, polite, efficient staff and I feel completely comfortable speaking to Dr. Deaver or the staff about my treatment, insurance issues -- whatever. Can't say enough good things about this group.

OMG! he was the best dentist ever. I came in thinking this was going to be SO painful and expensive, but it wasnt. They helped me with my chipped teeth. No pain, very cheap, great insurance help, supreme manners and front desk people were awesome!!

Before I was referred to Dr. Deaver, I had had some HORRENDOUS dental experiences - it brings tears to my eyes to even think of it. I also have some freaky anomalous problem with my gums that makes putting the teeth to sleep a problem, so often I had it happen that a dentist would start drilling and my mouth wasn't asleep and I would scream in pain! This would enrage the dentist....... Suffice to say I was terrified of having to go out there again and have some much needed work done back in 1994.

NONE SUCH PROBLEMS WITH DR. DEAVER. As big a pain in the butt as my mouth is, he has never, ever hurt me. He is very sensitive to the patient and observant, and he stays on top of the innovations in his profession. If there is a problem, he has no problem with the seeking of a 2nd opinion - we had to do this once for me and Dr. Deaver stood in the right! It was a problem with my stinking anomalous teeth! :)

Did I mention his staff is excellent and bend over backwards for you every time? Did I mention the new offices are beautiful?

Dr. Deaver is a decently priced, excellent jewel of a dentist. You SHOULD at least try him out.

I was so afraid of the dentist that I would not go for years. In the beginning Dr Deaver would wear a "red clown nose" to relax me. I would arrive at each appointment late due to anxiety. Dr Deaver is always so patient and gentle that I leave wondering "why was I afraid to come here?"

I have changed jobs several times over the years, but I will continue to travel the distance to remain a patient of Dr Deaver's.

I have had a number of bad experinces with dentists -- from an abusive dentist in my childhood to my last dentist, who I swear almost killed me. So I came to Dr. Deaver with fear and shame built up over a lifetime. Fear and shame on many levels. I need a bunch of stuff done -- braces, crowns, whitening,a bridge, a partial denture -- and am seeing Dr. Deaver a couple of times a week. He is very kind and non-judgmental. His injections are absolutely painless -- it really is like magic. His prices are reasonable, the office quite confortable, his staff helpful. I am especially impressed that Dr. Deaver reads and replies to all e-mail. He has personally worked with my insurance company to make sure I get the best care. And best of all, I no longer spend sleepless nights (yes, plural) before a dentist appointment.

Dr. Deaver's assistant, Linn, is phenominal. She and Dr. Deaver work very well together, and their teamwork results in great care for their patients.

If you need a great team, you really have to look no further.

Dr. Deaver is by far the best dentist I have ever had. When concerning your teeth it is extremely stressful to find someone you trust and are confident in their work. Dr. Deaver has offered me great dental work, affordable prices, insurance coverage, and a down to earth caring dental experience. His receptionist Cathy is wonderful also, which makes the whole dental experience more pleasant.

I make it a point to recommend him to my friends and colleagues. You would be doing your teeth and yourself a favor if you chose to see him.

I was 59 years old when I became Dr. Deaver's patient. I had a terrible fear of going to the dentist. I had not even had my teeth cleaned in many years. My teeth were loose and I had bleeding gums. I decided that I wanted all of my teeth removed so that I would never have to go to a dentist again. My front teeth were starting to hang over my bottom lip. I had lost my smile. I would put my hand over my mouth when I laughed. I wanted my smile back for my 60th. birthday. Dr. Deaver took me on as a patient. and convinced me that he could fix my teeth without removing all of them. He helped me get over my fear . He was very patient, kind and understanding. He explained everything. as we went along. Today I have a beautiful smile. I go and have my teeth cleaned every six months. I recomend Dr. Deaver to anyone that has a terriable fear of going to the dentist. Just go in and talk to him. You will be taking the first step toward good dental health.

After moving from Kansas City ten years ago, I bounced around from one dentist to another looking for one who made me feel comfortable with their abilities, manner, and staff, without much success. I was introduced to Doctor Bob several years ago and we became personal friends, but I kept my old dentist. After a very unsatisfactory experience with that dentist, I asked Doctor Bob if he would take me on as his patient. I found him to be as great a dentist as he is a friend.

His ability to remember details about all of his patients as well as his calming approach makes him a unique practitioner. Some of my dental work lately has been pretty complex, but Doctor Bob has made it surprisingly smooth and painless. Our friendship aside, I would recommend Doctor Bob to anyone for his professionalism and his attention to his patients. He truly cares about the people he serves. He is one of a kind!

I have been going to Dr. Deaver for over 20 years and have referred many friends and co-workers. We all love him -- even friends who hate going to the dentist. He is very gentle and sensitive to patient feelings and pain management. He asks you questions regarding prior dental experiences, sensitivity to pain, etc. to gauge how to treat you as an individual. He is very responsive and can be reached via email with questions. He is a great dentist and a great person!

Dr. Deaver is the best dentist I have ever had! His office is very courteous and quite helpful with your dental insurance. He makes you feel at ease and will gently scold you if you are not following the medical advice that he gives...for some people like me I need to be reminded of the importance of dental health sometimes.

Dr. Deaver is my newest reason why I love living in Chicago. Now that I found an ethical dentist who is extremely pleasant, I cannot move from this city. I have visited past dentists who have prescribed extensive work that I did not need. Dr. Deaver was extremely thorough and informed me of exactly what I needed (just regular check ups in my case -- versus thousands of dollars of work)

As a side benefit, Dr. Deaver's office offers in office insurance for those without dental insurance. That is extremely helpful for me considering I am self employed and would otherwise pay for a dentist out of pocket. Bottom line, stop putting off going to the dentist and visit Dr. Deaver!

I went to Dr. Deaver for years until my insurance provider changed. I haven't found a replacement yet that comes close to the caliber of service he provides. His staff is always upbeat and helpful. The best part was the fact they are always on time. Only once did I have to wait and that was for 10 minutes. Even then, they were apologetic and gave me a goodie bag. I still refer him to family and friends.

First time visiting this doctor. Very friendly staff. Only had my teeth cleaned and checked. He did give a more plausible answer for a receding gum line than my previous dentist. I will see him again. The cost choice in the review is not working. The cost was completely covered by my insurance. No opinion on cost.

I tried 3 other dental offices that were awful before Dr. Deaver. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They are also extemely ethical, they never recommend treatment unless it is necessary.

I had broken a molar and needed a dentist fast, Dr. Deaver was recommended to me and I can't say enough glowing things about him. Dr. Deaver is phenominal! I had several bad experiences with dentist before going to Dr. Deaver. I was anxious about going to the dentist and dreaded any appointment. Since going to Dr. Deaver I look forward to my office visits. He goes out of his was to provide patient comfort and make sure you understand exactly what is going on. Recently, my husband was considering a possible job transfer. While he was considering the move I told him I would be willing to move to California if he would fly me back to Chicago every 6 months for my dental cleanings. That is how much I like Dr. Deaver!
