I could not have made a better choice. After a thorough and experienced evaluation, he redid the implants with excellent results. I believe his knowledge and skills are unsurpassed in the field.

I can honestly say that I couldn't have imagined the surgury going better. The staff was extremely nice and professional. The only thing that really took me by surprise was how quickly they worked. They were ready to jump right into the surgury while I was still trying to settle my nerves beforehand, which was intially kind of scary. In the end, though, it was very helpful. Their confidence in how quick and easy the surgury would be really put my mind at ease. In fact, the entire procedure took less than 20 minutes.

Dr. Zickman is a nice guy who's humor does help to put you at ease. You can tell when you meet him that he is EXTREMELY skilled and really knows what he is doing.

I also wanted to mention that the staff was really caring. When I woke up from surgery, I was crying uncontrolably (and I remember none of this). But my boyfriend was impressed by how nice they were about it.

I was supposed to get three teeth extracted as part of the treatment, but due to the extreme pain I'd been in intermittently since July 2009, I elected to have only one removed.

I spent more time in the chair relaxing than the procedure actually took and I am very happy with the results. The post-surgery pain was insignificant compared to the pain I was in prior to the surgery.

I was really satisfied by Dr. Zickmann's service. The facilities are top-of-the-line, modern, and welcoming. I hadn't been to dentist offices like these before.

After the proper x-ray/scan was done, I was given the option of removing the single wisdom tooth that was hurting, or just remove them all at once (which will probably save me trouble in the future).

I heard so many horrible stories about wisdom teeth removal, that I just asked to have one removed. It really could not have been easier and painless. I didn't even notice when they removed my tooth. Recovery was a matter of hours (that same day I was back at work).

I'm very thankful for the profesional treatment I received, and will probably be returning soon to remove my other wisdom teeth (before they start giving me any trouble as well).

Cost is always an issue but for the services provided they were more than fair.

The entire staff at Lincoln Park Dentist is wonderful. All aspects from cost and insurance coverage were explained in detail to follow-up calls and attitudes were great from beginning to end.

Dr. Zickmann will be recommended to everyone I know who needs oral surgery.

Dr. Zickmann did an outstanding job with my extractions! He was informative about what the risks could be but was comforting and said he would do is utmost to prevent those risks from occurring. His calm demeanor and approachability put me at ease.

Post-surgery I had a considerable amount of swelling. My wife got worried and left a message for Dr. Zickmann at 8pm. He returned the call within 10 minutes and told my wife that the swelling was normal. He also told her to give him a call the next day to let him know how if the swelling had decreased and if it didn't he wanted me to see him. The next day the swelling was less. Dr. Zickmann still took time to find out how I was doing.

Overall, my experience with Dr. Zickmann and his team was perfect. I had no complications post-surgery. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Zickman did a great job extracting my 4 bone impact wisdom teeth + one front broken tooth.

Very little discomfort during the extraction. After the procedure everything was healing very well despite the fact that I have a Heamophillia (a bleading disorder).

He is without a doubt one of the most incredible oral surgeons I have ever been to. He made me feel comfortable and spoke to me like a person not just a patient.

I cannot say enough of my amazing experience with Dr. Zickmann but he is compassionate to people's situations and will help in any way he can.

I chose Dr. Zickman after seeing positive reviews from many previous patients. I had been tongue-tied since a child, and although not functionally a problem, wanted to have the frenectomy performed to give me some more tongue length.

I visited Dr.Zickman's office 2 times. Once for my evaluation, and the second time for my procedure.

The first time he told me what to expect: increased length after the procedure as well as some minor retraction upon healing. I was also required to get X-rays, although I do not know how necessary the X-rays were considering no dental work was being performed.

Prior to the procedure he mentioned the risks, and was very professional and reassuring. He reiterated that my tongue may shorten slightly from the maximum length, and that their were nerves and duct where he would be dissecting, but that he would not cut them.

The procedure was quick (15 min), painless (local), and a little bloody, nothing I was not expecting. . He prescribed me sufficient medication for the pain, and I went on my way.

The front desk staff and his assistants were also friendly and courteous. Last but not least, the laid back music that floated throughout the office was the icing on the cake.

Dr. Zickmann, being a father himself, exhibited a wonderful bed side manner that made my son feel comfortable. From the first consultation, Dr. Zickmann made sure both Aidan and I understood every aspect of the procedure up to and including the aftercare. The staff was extremely professional in every regard. Everyone took individual notice of mine and my son's feelings and needs. BEST of all, the office was impeccable. My 5 year old son was NEVER afraid of any part of the process.

I got a bit nervous the day of my surgery, and the staff were helpful and calming. I had general sedation for the procedure, so I don't remember a thing. Apparently it was over in about 20 minutes!

I will be visiting him again soon to get an implant. The office uses very state of the art technology and the staff is very friendly, considerate, respectful of my time, and helpful.

I used this site to find him and am now grateful for its' existence. I had been to see no fewer than 6 other dental professionals who indicated that they could identify no problem and offered no treatment options.

He did an Awesome job I had to get 3 teeth extracted! I was nervous about the pain and the cost and having to miss days off work to recover etc. But It worked out GREAT! I didnt feel a a thing.. not a tug of a tooth, no pain before I knew it.. it was over and I was getting instructions on how to heal properly :)

The next day I was a little sore but over it by mid afternoon. Which means alot to me because being a full time working mommy my schedule is always full... and even better my kids know of my positive experience and are less fearfull of their next visit.

Because of Dr. Zickmann I will never fear going to the dentist again enless its with another dentist..

He extracted one of my large teeth, and had to take it out by pieces. The surgery was quick and despite the fact that it seemed (to me) somewhat complicated, the area healed without any inflammation or antibiotic treatment. As far as the implant surgery goes, it was less painful than anything I have ever had done by a dentist. After the anesthesia wore off, to my great surprise, I felt absolutely nothing! I have had the implant for over half a year now, and I never feel it. The new tooth looks great!

I need to add that I knew nothing about implants, but my general dentist was quite impressed with the improved implant technology Dr. Zickmann used.

The clinic itself is a pleasant place, the staff is polite and efficient.

I decided to remain awake during the procedure and the process went by rather quickly. Other than the usual awareness of "you know you're sitting in a chair and hear drilling noises in your mouth," the procedure was aboslutely tolerable, manageable and all worth it in the end. Dr. Zickmann was extremely attentive and frequently asked if everything was acceptable and gave updates as to status of the procedure.

In addition, my recovery was great and I experienced no immediate pain following the procedure. The prescribed medication ensured there would be no continuing pain until healed.

I highly recommend Dr. Zickmann and staff for any oral surgery services.

My only complaint is that there was a glitch with submission of information to my insurance company, which led to a delay in payment. One person I dealt with was quite rude - otherwise the staff has been perfectly polite and quite competent.

I hope to never have another implant, but if I do need one, I would absolutely return to have Dr Zickmann do it!

I'm an actress and I was very pleased with the results of my surgery. Dr. Zickman is excellent.

We were both on faculty at the University of Illinois in Chicago and had access to a pool of other qualified dental providers.

It is important to mention that Dr. Zickmann and I colaborated on numerous cases ranging from simple procedures to complex full mouth rehabilitation with implants-including a very difficult patient-my own mother :-)

This was my first experience with an implant and Dr. Zickmann took the time to explain each step and made sure that I was comfortable and understood exactly what he would be doing. It took much less time than I had expected and I was shocked to find that there was no pain and very little discomfort hours later when the novocaine wore off.

I have a good dentist for general dentistry but when I need something "serious" done again, I will be sure to go back to Dr. Zickmann. It's not that I like going to get dental work done - no one does - but at least I know it will be done correctly at Dr. Zickmann's office. I also know that I will be treated like a human being and not like just another customer at a deli counter.

Dr. Zickmann rearranged his schedule and got me in for surgery within an hour of my arrival to the office. He was extremely professional and knowledgable and he exuded experience and confidence. I felt very comfortable during the procedure and I felt like he was in complete control the entire time. The surgery was painless, clean and only took about half-an-hour.

I recently went in for my 3 month follow-up, and to my relief everything had turned out great, the jawbone had healed around the root just like he hoped it would. Nothing else needed to be done. It felt great to have the experience behind me.

Most importantly, the office also accepted my GE Dental Plan fee schedule and the whole process cost me $500 less than what other oral surgeons were quoting.
