I've worn dentures practically my entire life, since age 19, I am now 70. My dentures were just that, dentures. After my daughter visited Dr. Marcus for her routine check-up, she came back to give me great news about new innovations in dental implants.

I immediately made an appointment and the rest is history. I have a beautiful set of denture implants that have gave me the smile that I've longed for all my life! I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror.

Other than some minor discomfort from the implant surgery, the whole process was a breeze and well worth it!

First of all, I'm going to say I'm jealous of anyone who can go to Dr. Marcus on their insurance. You are lucky!! I recently received dental insurance, however Dr. Marcus in not a part of the HMO plan. But I figured out what I'm going to do...I'm going to use the other dentist for regular cleanings and have all my other work done with Dr. Marcus. He's incredible. Makes you feel very comfortable and really takes care of you. I've never had a filling go so smoothly and be so painless. Also the morning I came in I was only supposed to have a quick check-up - unfortunately I had a cracked filling and was in a lot of pain. Even though he didn't really have the time, he took care of my filling right then and there. He was extremely fast and thorough. I will eventually need an implant due to a missing tooth and I won't go anywhere else. I can't recommend a better dentist. If you have the opportunity to be his patient, take it!!

About Hygienist: The hygienists and the staff are wonderful and always very friendly. Also, they remember you even if you only come in a couple times a year.

I had veneers on my teeth for 20+ years and they were chipping. I was a total dental phobe, but the staff could not have been more kind and considerate. Dr. Marcus gave me a complimentary consultation and explained that crowning my entire mouth would be the best treatment in the long run for me. He made me feel so comfortable and his "chair side" manner was incredibile.

This was a major undertaking and throughout the entire procedure, each and every individual who was involved in my treatment made sure that I was comfortable and informed. I was given nirtrous for anxiety and nobody has ever given me novacaine as easily as Dr. Marcus!

I wore temporary teeth for a month and no one could tell! He made them right in the office so I was never without lovely teeth. His assistant Lisa, is compassionate and highly trained. She's fabulous as is Enza, his other assistant.

The crowns are natural, comfortable and dazzling! I now have the Hollywood smile I have always dreamt of having. At first, when I looked in the mirror, I was brought to tears, now...I just put on my red lipstick and stroll out the door with a new confidence.

I was an office manager in a dental office in AZ for before moving to Northwest Indiana 1 1/2 years ago. I needed to find a new dentist, one that I would feel very comfortable with, and one that would hold up to the very high dental standards, both clinically and cosmetically, that I was accustomed to. Dr Marcus was highly recommended to me. I actually went to see his office before I even moved out here and committed to making an appointment, he did an impromptu exam that day. I was in need of some major dental treatment after my braces where removed, and I was no longer living in AZ. Despite my years of working in a dental office, I still get nervous about a needle entering my mouth - I told this to Dr Marcus. I even close my eyes as not to see it. I have had many an injection by him now and I have not felt any of them. His treatment has been impeccable. Dr Marcus has met all of my needs, and my smile has clinically and cosmetically improved from his dental work. I without a doubt recommend him. Oh, his new office is state of the art, and beautifully designed. Dr Marcus and his staff have more than fulfilled my needs, his assistant is also wonderful, and the front office staff are great too.

I have been going to Dr. Marcus and his wonderful assistants for 19 years and must say, I would recommend him to anyone! Even though I have long since moved away from downtown Chicago to Oak Park, I still make the trip downtown because I can't imagine seeing another dentist. Service is excellent, the facilities are beautiful and getting even better all the time and his technology is always very impressive. I don't have huge issues with my teeth so I don't think I have been all that challenging of a patient. But, I have actually enjoyed going to the dentist - which is truly amazing.

About Hygienist: Kathy is a wonderful, personable and reliable hygenist. She keeps up on all my teeth/health issues and does a great job keeping my teeth clean and looking good.

Before seeing Dr. Marcus my entire family (8 people) had seen a family dentinist for over 30 years. We all began to have issues so searched for someone new. I had 4 root canals, 5 cavaties, gum surgery and three crowns. I never had any pain. Dr. marcus was calm and mapped out what needed to be done. I couldn't have asked for more honest, professional care. i am very grateful I found him and my entire family has switched over.

In the 15 years I have been going to Dr. Marcus, I have been consistantly pleased and amazed with the level of proffessionalism, compassion and service that he and his staff provide. Over the years I have had a number of procedures including extractions, root canals and most recently five implants with Dr. Baer. All were done painlessly and with a level of care that was extaordinary. My entire family now goes to Dr. Marcus and we have recommended his practice to many friends who now share our enthusiasm.

I have spent a lot of time in dentists' chairs. When I was ten I had 19 cavities! Since then, I have had multiple root canals, crowns and caps. Most of the dental work that was done did not last. Each new dentist told me that the last guy did it wrong and that they would finally fix it the right way. As you can imagine, I was not a big fan of the dental profession.

That all changed 6 years ago when my wife convinced me to see Dr. Baer and Dr. Marcus. These two guys are masters at their craft. The first couple of years Dr. Baer worked on getting my mouth into a healthy state. This work included two implants. Dr. Baer makes the implant procedure amazingly painless. Then a couple of months ago, I made an appointment with Dr. Marcus to discuss Veneers. He educated me on the process and he even created a temporary I could wear for the day, to see how my wife and I liked them. I have now had the permanent Veneers for a month and I LOVE them. It's funny, because people don't know what changed. They just notice a positive difference. Quite a few people ask if I have lost weight -- that's next :-).

I have complete confidence in Dr Marcus and Dr Baer. I highly recommend both of them.

After interviewing 4 other dentists, I won the lottery with Dr. Marcus. I had full mouth cosmetic reconstruction with up to date technology and now my smile looks "beautifully REAL." Both Dr. Marcus & implant specialist Dr. Baer placed implants where needed with excellent same day results. The entire process from start to finish was done in a timely fashion and even my temporaries looked great. Dr. Marcus was always willing to answer any questions , always making me feel like his most important patient. He takes such care and pride in his work using the highest quality laboratories. The staff is "the best" and they even got me a 'smoothie' during a long procedure. Both my husband and daughter were so impressed that they too are now patients . If you are looking for a wonderful and competent dentist ---DO NOT hesitate to pick Dr. Marcus.

I have had 5 long time dentists and he's the best one I've ever had. My sister and her children have been going to Dr. Marcus for over 20 years. We call him the painless dentist. He did my veneers when veneers first came out. They look perfect.

Kathy and Johanna are the 2 hygienists that clean my teeth. They're really nice and very gentle.

All of the staff have been so warm and friendly to me. They really treat you like family there.

I recently had forgotten that I had veneers because I've had them for so long. I had a fight with a very hard roll. They took me immediately and cleaned my teeth as well. They look perfect again. Dr. Marcus even took the initiative to encourage me to color the teeth to match the rest of my teeth. Good advice, white doesn't always look natural.

I was pleasantly suprised to see that the cost for the repair and the cleaning was pretty small.

They're GREAT!!!

I saw Dr. Marcus for a long time and my whole extended family in the Chicago area continues to see him. He's one of the nicest, most gentle people I have ever met. My cleanings with Johanna the hygienist are nothing short of spectacular. It is also extremely easy to get in to see him -- once or twice I was able to call and get an appointment the same day. In addition to regular cleanings, he fixed a chip on my front tooth that had been there for years from an accident and my 2 previous dentists had somehow not been able to make look nice. He also coordinated seamlessly with the oral surgeon who removed my wisdom teeth so that I would receive the best overall care from both of them. He takes insurance and his office staff are EXTREMELY helpful with billing and scheduling. Only reason I'm not seeing him anymore is since I moved away -- I wish he were in NYC!

Since my first experience at Dr. Marcus' office 8 years ago, I look forward to every visit. Dr. Marcus and his crew are FABULOUS!!! I highly recommend Dr. Marcus and can't speak enough about how wonderful he and his staff are.

I've hated going to the dentist all of my life and have always dreaded going to one. The number of dentist/orthodontists/etc. that I've tried cannot be counted on both hands. Taking a referral from a dear friend, I went to see Dr. Marcus. Eight years later I'm still going to him. Of course, I recently moved away from Chicago, but still make an appointment with him each time I'm back in town.

Dr. Marcus' work is amazing. I'm never in any pain after any procedure that he has performed on me. He keeps up with all the latest medical and technology advancements but keeps a clear perspective on what works and what's hype.

Lastly, his staff are extremely nice. They are so helpful and always try to accommodate your schedule. They are also good at following up with you've asked to be put onto a list in case of cancellations. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Marcus!

Dr. Marcus is the finest dentist I have ever known. I began seeing him about two years ago to treat a complicated failed incisor implant performed by another dentist. I had seen four specialists and had had two surgeries to treat the problem. No one could figure out what to do. Dr. Marcus knew what to do right away and immediately got rid of the pain that had plagued me for more than a year. He then started to repair a myriad of problems associated with the implant and worn/chipped teeth through crown lengthening and new crowns. My teeth havent been so healthy or attractive since I was a teenager! He is an artist and a scientist with a keen understanding of biomechanics and the latest technologies. You will love his personality too. Charming, funny, and happy. He is surrounded by happy people too---everyone in his office seems to love their work. I have been treated by really good (and several really incompetent) dentists and doctors throughout my life, but Dr. Marcus is the best. I wouldnt go to anyone else. You will be lucky to have him as your dentist. The guy is extraordinary!

I have been treated by Dr. Marcus (and yes, Johanna) for at least 10 years, maybe more, so I know what I'm talking about.

I wish I could hire him to overhaul my customer service. This is simply the best, kindest, most caring, happy office I have ever seen in the medical community.

And I am not exaggerating. How does he do it? We have all been so accustomed over the years to the brutal indifference show in clinics and hospitals. You won't find this here. Even when older employees move on, their replacements have the same joyous attitude toward their jobs. It's really quite amazing.

As for Marty, he is fabulous. His attitude, demeanor and professionalism is consistent from one year to the next. Like his staff, he is happy, caring, and never rushed. He is also an artist with teeth.

When I knocked out half my front tooth in a ice-climbing accident eight years ago, he took me immediately, and within an hour gave me a new tooth that looked better than the original.

It's a face of life that most people dread going to the dentist's office. Not here.

This was probably the best experience I've had at a dentist. I moved here from Canada and needed a new dentist because my front veneer fell off. He fixed me up as good as new. The whole staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. I love the fact that he explains everything he's going to do before he does it and makes sure it's ok with you. They walk you through everything. I highly reccommend Dr. Marcus and his staff. The office is very bright and clean, very comfortable.

Dr. Marcus is a very patient and meticulous craftsman who is not only gifted at basic dentistry but is also up to any technical challenge. I had a long history of difficult dental problems which had challenged the skills of successive dentists over the years. Dr. Marcus, with the help of an associated specialist who does implant surgery, resolved my situation in a little over six months with very attractive and functional dental implants. He and his staff have an exceptionally complete and high tech facility in their LaSalle St. office so all the work I needed was completed in that one place. Everyone I encountered there, from Dr. Marcus to his hygienists, was very friendly and reassuring as well as highly competent. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Marcus to everyone, and in particular to those who need ambitious reconstructive dentistry.

Dr. Marcus and his staff were extremely accomodating in setting up a quick and convenient appointment time. Both Dr. Marcus and the staff (from the secretaries to my dental hygenist, Johanna) are professional, warm and caring, and thorough. I have been to a number of dentist and this by far was the best dental appointment: Dr. Marcus and Johanna explained to me what they were going to do before they did procedures like polishing, examining gums, etcetera (which helped immensely to relieve my anxiety about being in a dentist chair!), they explained what their examinations found and what I could do better to care for me teeth.

I tend to be a clean-freak and I could find nothing that made me question the cleanliness of the environment- it was very clean! For such great service I thought the overall bill would be much higher than it actually was- it was definitely reasonable!

I will reiterate how friendly, caring, and warm Dr. Marcus and the staff are. I highly recommend him to anyone needing to see a dentist!!

(to make the appointment the secretary even called me back after my cell phone dropped the call and joked about it. :-)

I'm so happy I found such a great dental office!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Marcus for all of my dental work for 7 years now and each visit reminds me what a great dentist I have. He always has the latest technology and techniques at the ready to ensure thoroughness and patient comfort. For my most recent root canal I barely felt even the prick of the needle for the anesthesia! I have routinely recommended him to close friends and associates and will continue to do so strongly. Whenever someone complains to me about their dentist, I always advise them to change and see Dr. Marcus. Everyone on staff is wonderful from the front desk to the hygienists. Dr Marcus is a cutting-edge dentist who was able to install crowns on 3 sides of my teeth maneuvering around my braces The new technology takes two hours to install instead of seveal separate vists - saving time and money. I highly reccommend him

Dr. Marcus is extremely talented, very patient, knowledgeable and has a keen understanding of all aspects of sophisticated dentistry, including biomechanics, modeling, surgery--he is your best bet for beauty and function. As a specialist, he also is very good at fixing problems caused by incompetent dentists.
