Patient Review 1:

The Dental Salon facility is really modern and clean. The view of Chicago from the cleaning chair was pretty nice as well. I had decided to go here based on reviews I read about Dr Morris on Dr Oogle but ended up getting worked on by a different doctor in the Dental Salon group which was fine since she did an ok job. I noticed she is no longer part of the group as I write this review. I had a deep cleaning done which hurt and bled quite a bit but that's because my teeth and gums were in bad shape. I ended up having painful swollen gums when I went home near my wisdom tooth area because some remnants from the cleaning got stuck in the crevice. I had to go back and have the dentist look at it and re-clean the area. It ended up being ok after she re-cleaned it and prescribed a prescription mouthwash I had to use. I also had two fillings done which went well. They were upfront about how much the work would cost and asked me if I was ok with it before they proceeded. Also, they didn't pressure me to switch out my existing silver fillings and didn't try to upsell me on other procedures. The dentist and everyone in the office is nice and friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dental practice to others

I wish all of my healthcare providers' offices were as comfortable and efficiently run as the Dental Salon. I accidentally arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment recently and they were still able to see me right away. Dr. Desai and the hygienists are very personable. I have a little discomfort remaining from my last appointment, but I know they will work with me until I'm completely satisfied. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Morris is great. He is very personable, attentive and professional. I have had the best dental experiences EVER since becoming a patient at Dental Salon. I had all my cleanings for 2 years completed here, my wisdom teeth pulled, a crowne replaced, and I had my teeth whitened. The service is impecable, the hours are SO convenient (open 7 days a week) and the location is great. Also - they validate parking. The dental office is much bigger now after they completed the expansion, and the views of the city are beautiful. They have so many dentists in Dr. Morris's office (aka Dental Salon) that they can accomodate everyone's schedules. Also, they have surgeons in the office, so I never had to bother with getting a referral to an outside surgeon to get my wisdom teeth pulled!

Dr. Morris and Dr. Desai have been my dentists for many years. I even keep going there after we moved and the location is not as convenient as when I originally started going there. During this time I've had cleanings, crowns, and fillings. Everything is always done in an efficient manner, no waiting, and most importantly, no pain. Everybody who is working there is friendly and accommodating. I've had same day emergency appointments and I've gone there with a new born. All to a great satisfaction. I also love the fact that they are open 7 days a week and have such long hours. The space is huge, clean and bright. I've recommended this place to many of my friends over the years and they all were satisfied with their experience and keep coming back. I can not comment about the cost because my insurance covers virtually all of the expenses, but I think it is compatible with other places in town (otherwise, insurance wouldn't cover it). Dental Salon is definitely my favorite dentist!

I have been seeing Dr. Desai for the past 2-1/2 years and have had a great experience every time I have been to the Dental Salon.

Thankfully I have only needed my regular cleanings, x-rays, etc.. and nothing more serious. They do a great job cleaning my teeth and they have the latest technology and equipment which is really important to me when I see a dentist.

Everyone working in their office, from the girl's at the front desk to the doctors, are all very friendly, helpful and approachable.

The space is also fresh, clean and bright...no stinky, dingy dentist office!

I always recommend friends and family to the Dental Salon as they make it a very pleasant experience.

I have seen both Dr Morris and Dr Platson at the Dental Salon, and all my experiences have been outstanding. Up until recently, I have only had regular cleanings/check-ups, but last visit Dr Platson recommended getting a night guard. While that sounds like a hassle, we get the process moving right away, impressions were taken and a follow-up appt was scheduled immediately afterward.

About the providers: very thorough and helpful-- both will explain everything that's going on, why they recommend something or not

About the office: very friendly office staff, flexible appointment hours, and well-managed wait times. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 10 min to be seen by someone.

I had a bad toothache on a Sunday and I found the Debntal Salon online and got an appt that day and I have been going there ever swince and am very satisfied. I had an implant finsihed there which had been started at another dentist. I can't tell you costs exactly because I have two insurances, one fromme and one through my wife.

I've had my normal cleanings and a chipped tooth repaired and it has been absolutely the best experience one can have in the dental office. Great facility, people, professionalism... I got my wife to switch (easily) from her family dentist just by going with me once. The services aren't "cheap" but they are definitely a great value and insurance covers most or all. They're also open pretty much all the time - very helful for busy people.

About Hygienist: I've had different doctors and hygienists at different times and all have been great.

I had a great experience at Dental Salon. Everyone is very polite and friendly. My dentist was awesome, very quick and very efficient. The cleaning procedure was relatively painless and the dental hygienist gave me good brushing/flossing tips. It is great to go to a dentist that is open 7 days a week with flexible hours. I had my 6 month checkup recently. The facility is clean, calming, and professional. As soon as you walk in, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Since your smile is such major part of your image, its important to me that I go somewhere where they take the utmost care of your dental health. I had my teeth looked over by another dentist a week ago and went to Dental Salon for a second opinion. I am so happy I did that. My almost 3 year old daughter had her very first dental appointment at Dental Salon. She showed up as a princess wearing her tiara and earrings. :) And everyone at the office made her feel like a little princess. She had her little teeth checked and she got a fluoride treatment. The staff was really friendly. They even checked my daughter's teddy bears imaginary teeth just to make her feel more comfortable. And seeing the assistant Ron and my daughter skipping down the hallway afterward was just priceless! :)

I have been going to the Dental Salon for just short of a year now. I was apprehensive at first because of the name as I'm not the 'salon' type. However, after 2 cleanings and impacted wisdom teeth removal, I am happy to report the Dental Salon has proved to be a very good choice. The office offers convenient hours for those who can't skip out during the work day and the staff is as thorough and professional as any I have experienced.

I had my first visit to the Dental Salon last month. I am very afraid of going to the dentist, and had put off going for a long time. My sister and friend both were patients at the Dental Salon, and convinced me to go there because they were very friendly and did excellent work. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't have that weird dentist-y smell, which was nice! It is very clean and they have a beautiful view of Chicago from the 8th floor of the building. My dentist and dental assistant were senstive to the fact that I was nervous and helped put me at ease. The cleaning procedure was relatively painless (for someone that neglected the dentist as long as I did) and both the doctor and hygenist gave me good brushing/flossing tips. I now am obsessed with brushing/flossing/various mouthwashes and am suprisingly looking forward to my next visit in July!

I had a great experience at The Dental Salon. Everyone was friendly and smiling. It was so great to go to the dentist on a Sunday and not have to miss work (they are open 7 days per week!). The dentist showed me my x-rays on a large computer screen and went through it with me in detail so I understood. Last year I underwent a dental drama that continued for many months and drained my insurance coverage. I had to wait 'til '09 to find a new dentist. I couldn't be happier with my choice of Dental Salon.

I was seen by Dr. Jason Lipoff. He was friendly and assuring, just what I needed in a new dentist. He helped me look into alternatives for treating the discomfort that continues from my dental drama last year. I feel confident I will have a continuously happy experience while treating at Dental Salon.

The front desk staff was always friendly and accommodating each time I called. On the day of my appointment, the girls up front were helpful in filling out paperwork, as well as being super nice. The nice part is very important to me and is certainly a contrubuting factor in my wanting to continue at Dental Salon.

When I first moved to Chicago I tried 3 other dentists before coming to see Dr. Morris. What a difference! Dr. Morris is gentle (he alway gives me enough pain medication when I need it) and thorough. I have had three crowns put on my him, and each has lasted several years already (just a strong as ever).

I especially like how well Dr. Morris explains things to me. I understand exactly what he is doing with each procedure, which I had never gotten at any other dentist. And not only does he explain the procedure itself, he also bills through insurance first, then explains the remaining cost to me up front (instead of sending a large, unexpected bill after the fact).

The Dental Salon itself is gorgeous and very clean, with updated furnishings. Despite it being a dental office (somewhere most people dread), I actually don't mind coming here....the environment is quite pleasant, in fact.

About Hygienist: I have had several hygienists over the years, but the past few appointments I have been seeing Juan. He does a great job, as do all the staff at Dental Salon!

The following review covers my opinion after 2 visits to Dental Salon. I have been to 3 other dentists in the Chicago / greater Chicago area. You will be hard pressed to find a better dentist / office, as you will read below.

The staff continue to impress me with their courtesy, timeliness of appointments, and overall professionalism. Unlike many other dentists I have seen, the dentist performed the critical cleaning and examination both times while the assistant did the flossing and polishing. It's great that they hire dentists with conversational skills so your visit is much more interactive and enjoyable. I have not had a problem with insurance coverage for routine care, and the cost of anything extra is extremely reasonable for the level of care.

This was my first trip to the Dental Salon. I had Dr. Lipoff and he was fantastic. There was no pressure, no pain, and no uncertainty of what the next step in the process was. For being a first time patient, they emailed me the forms so that I could have them completed before I even got there. I will refer anyone that I know to this practice. Going to the dentist just got easier and in some ways, fun. I live in the burbs but it is well worth the drive.

I recently moved to Chicago from Colorado, and a friend of mine suggested Dental Salon. I haven't really had any bad experiences with dentists, so I'm not too picky as a result. I might be much pickier if I ever move out of Chicago because Dental Salon was notches above any other dental office I've been to. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The rooms have large windows with views of the city, which is a breath of fresh air to someone like me who is used to staring at a wall while a dentist checks out my teeth.

I had been to a couple of dentists in the city and just hadn't found one that clicked. The others that I had gone to I felt were not very through in their exams and I felt that their skills were out of date. I found out about the Dental salon on a websearch and as it had so many positive reviews I decided to give it a try. To begin with the facilities are beautiful, a very spa like ambiance and great views of the city from the dental chair! All of the staff have been very helpful and professional both times I have been to visit. They are very skilled and use the latest techniques in diagnosis and treatment. I have only had to have cleanings done but my husband had a crown placed and said they kept him comfortable during the procedure and was pleased with the result. They accept a lot of different insurance plans and handle all the paperwork which is nice. I have also heard they will work with you on payment plans if you don't have insurance but as we have dental coverage I have not had to explore this. A nice feature of the office is that they offer a lot of cosmetic dental work besides just traditional care and I plan on taking advantage of this in the future. Over all a great dental experience!

About Hygienist: The hygenist's I have had have been very professional, friendly and are skilled at their job. Lynnette was even able to polish out a stain on my front tooth that had been bothering me for months!

Dr. Morris gave me four fillings for cavities I had. He was very professional and kind. He spoke with me about my options and helped me to devise a treatment plan that worked with my insurance and costs. He made me feel comfortable and often asked if I was okay during the procedures. It was minimally painful and the office was very relaxing and nice. The front desk was helpful in contacting my insurance company about questions I had and got back to me very quickly. Overall, it was the best dental experience I've ever had in my life and I'll definitely go back again!

I just moved to Chicago and needed to find a dentist. A friend recommended this office to me. It was great. I called and had an appointment within a week. They called my insurance company for me to make sure it was covered. When I got to the office I only filled out a short form, and then I was right in the dentist's chair. I had a routine cleaning done AND a mold made for a whitening tray, and I was out in less than an hour. Everyone was very friendly. Most importantly, it was quick and easy!

Honestly, I hate going to the dentist because I've been blessed with horrible teeth, but The Dental Salon is definitely unlike any other dentist office I've ever been to. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the doctors are very good at explaining in detail what work needs to be done and why. This was my first visit to the Dental Salon and I was so impressed! From the minute you walk into the door to the minute your exam is finished you feel relaxed and taken care of. There is no pressure to get certain procedures done and the system that they have of going into a separate room to discuss treatment options is one of the best that I've seen. I would recommend this office to anyone. The hours are also very flexible. The only down-side is parking in this area.

I felt comfortable with the services that were provided, as this was my first appointment after a recent change of insurance. Since he is in "network," all cleanings are pd 100% (you can't get any cheaper than that!). The office staff were very friendly, and I was seen within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. All the paperwork was e-mailed to me ahead of time to help expedite my time spent in the waiting room. The assistant, Fabian, was very accomodating and comforting, as I usually don't do well with the whole x-ray experience. This was a first for me to have actual photographs taken of my mouth too. He was very thorough and made all the prep work so much easier! To my surprise, the dentist actually did my cleaning. Not the hygienist! They used an ultrasonic tip to clean my teeth. And it seemed to do the trick (I've never had that done vs. the old-fashioned instrument/pick that I'm used to). It was a little sensitive to my teeth. But, I wouldn't say that it was painful.

Also, it's good to know that they have a periodontist in office in case I need to go that route. Granted my oral hygiene is excellent, so I needed minimal work for my 6 month check up. But, I will definitely return for another visit.

I received treatment from Dr. Grason. Her professionalism and easy demeanour greatly contributed to an excellent experience. I recommended the Dental Salon and Dr. Grason in particular to two friends. I really appreciated her attention to indications that my teeth were sensitive. She immediately stopped and applied additional numbing medication to the area. Once she began again, I felt nothing and was able to continue on pain-free. Especially telling, before beginning in a new area, she assumed the numbing affect would have worn off equal to the previous area, and pre-applied more numbing medication before beginning. I absolutely recommend Dr. Grason!

I have seen Dr. Rotkvich for my last two cleanings and she is always extremely professional and friendly, helping the time to pass comfortably. Prior to dr. Rotkvich, I had seen Dr. Morris for three other visits and he too, like all the staff is very friendly and professional.

When I initially started going to Dental Salon, I needed some extensive work replacing some fillings from childhood that had finally gone their course. Dr. Morris made what could have been a rather excruciating process seem simple and manageable, despite the obvious discomfort of the experience. And his sense of humor certainly helped. The office has a great ambiance and offers a relaxing view of the city. Given the high quality of the staff, the professionalism and the excellent customer service, I have been very satisfied with the reasonable cost. While the waiting room is very comfortable and always has broad and current selection of magazines, I don't think I have ever waited longer than 10 minutes at any of my visits.

About Hygienist: All of the hygienists I have seen at the Salon (About 4 or 5) have always friendly and conversational and seem to genuinely enjoy what they are doing. It is very apparent that the hygienists like working with the dentists and are gaining a great experience from the hands on and professional atmosphere. The last time I was there, Fabian was my hygienist and he was very friendly and professional and even hung around afterwards to just chat about current events while I got my stuff organized.

This is the first time I visited this office, so I filled out the paperwork, had xrays taken, and had my teeth cleaned (all in less than an hour). I've had some bad experiences with dentists in the past (and a really bad experience here in Chicago), and Dental Salon was the complete opposite. What I want in a dentist is to feel comfortable and to trust my dentist. From start to finish, this agency was up front, honest, and totally professional. So, from a comfort standpoint, I thought Dental Salon was excellent.

The fringe benefits of state of the art technology, comfortable chairs, and a plasma in-room television didn't hurt, either! I WILL go back to this dentist, and I've already recommended it to my friends here in Chicago.

My dentist was, Dr. Desai. She did a great job and was easy to talk to. Since I didn't have any cavities -- because my teeth are frickin sweet (no pun intended)-- I can't say much about root canals or fillings. She did a great job cleaning my teeth. I can tell you that she was very friendly and took the time to answer any and all questions I had ranging from sensations in my teeth to Sonicare toothbrushes. I was her last appointment of the day yet she stuck around for awhile after my cleaning. I've already made my 6-month cleaning appointment in August with her.

About Hygienist: Everyone from the girl at the front desk, to the guy doing all my x-rays and helping my dentist while she cleaned, to the girl who did my polishing were helpful, patient, and very friendly. They took the time to answer all my questions, were all very attentive, and even apologized for the "wait" even though the wait consisted of 5-10 minutes. None of them seemed like they were in a rush to wrap up and get out even though I was one of the last appointments of the day.

Best experience, and I HATE dental work. I've worked with Dr. Rotkvick for 90% of my dental work. She is efficient, friendly, personable, and does a clean, painless job, often checking if I'm doing fine. Dr. Morris is also personable and kind and pain free. They explain all billing to me thoroughly in addition to their thorough explanations of all treatment (that may be) needed. They take care of ALL the insurance work, and help me to maximize my benefits.

The place is so clean, modern, including all equipment, sterile, and they bring you a water bottle too- to keep your mouth feeling clean.

About Hygienist: All hygienists I've worked with (About 5 or 6) have been kind, friendly and fun. It's interesting because the dentists often mentor their assistants as they do procedures, and it's not as if the assistants are not knowledgeable- they are. It's just nice to watch the dentists tell their assistants why its important to do this or that, or doing "this" makes patients most comfortable, etc. And all hygienists are very gentle.

I'll admit, I've not been the best at putting dental care on the top of my list of priorities in the past. That's mainly because it's a pain to go to the dentist--waiting for extended periods of time just to see the dentist and then spending a good amount of time in the dentist chair. After one visit at the dental salon, my outlook is much different. I LOVE that I could have the paper work filled out before I ever even stepped foot in the door (they emailed it to me). And I LOVE that they got all of my insurance information over the phone so I didn't have to deal with that when I got there either. Everyone there was very nice, and the dental team did a very thorough, quick job. I will be back for my 6 month exam...it was nice to see my teeth could be white again...My only complaint is that although it is great that they validate your parking, it was a tiny bit tricky to figure out how to get up to their office. It would have been nice if they had told me how to do so over the phone. But now I know for next time.

I have been so pleased with this facility. They use digital photography in addition to traditional x-rays, and are always professional and friendly. When I required a more expensive procedure Dr. Morris made every effort to schedule it in two sessions so that I could maximize my insurance coverage and limit my out of pocket pay. Dr. Morris is booked up quickly because of this excellent service, but I have been just as pleased with Dr. Glud, who I have seen when Dr. Morris is not available. If you are in a window facing room there is a lovely view of the lincoln park area, and interior rooms include a flat panel TV with relaxing programming.

About Hygienist: I can't recall all of the names of the hygienists here, but I have always had a good experience and they have always been friendly and courteous.

The staff at Dental Salon is so friendly. Going to the dentist never felt so high class. It is the prettiest dental office I have been to. I have been to two of the dentists at Dental Salon, and they were very cordial. They know that it is uncomfortable to be at the dentist, so they try to accomodate you as much as they can. The nice dental assistants ask if you would like bottled water while you wait while looking out the large windows over the north skyline, in the procedural rooms. I had an appointment with a Indian lady dentist, not Dr. Morris. She was really nice and gave me good advice on how to better brush my teeth. The assistant who did the cleaning did a good job with the polishing. The wait time was good, but not great - I waited less than 5 mins at the reception, but then waited 15-20 mins in the cleaning room (apparently the dentist was running behind that morning). The chairs in the cleaning rooms are really comfortable though, which made the wait okay.

It is extremely easy for me to get an appointment on a Saturday morning, which is great for me because I travel during the week. And they have parking validation for the garage downstairs.

The dental salon!!!!!!! First and for most the view is something that you would pay hundreds for in a five star hotel. Also the minute that you sign that paper that you are checking yourself in within minutes you are in a chair.
